About us

The regional group of Technology without Borders in Brazil was founded in 2017 as a Brazilian association under Brazilian law. Our group is based at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Araranguá, in the state of Santa Catarina. In order to support engineering students in the introduction of cost-effective technologies in developing regions, the association is committed to improving living conditions in developing countries. Ideia originated in Germany, in the city of Nuremberg in 2010, where the association Technik ohne Grenzen was founded. Our members are professors and students from various fields such as energy technology and IT and are supported by experts and companies in the development of their projects.
