Working Group Water

About us

The water working group develops project realisations around the topic of water. It is not only about how water can be obtained and made available in good quality, but also about how water can be saved or replaced, e.g. with dry toilets. EcoSanitation, or EcoSan for short, provides solutions that save water as far as possible and utilise materials in other ways. The water working group is supported by voluntary association members from all regional groups.

Knowledge about Fresh Water, Waste Water and EcoSan

The Water Working Group collects, organises and passes on knowledge so that experience and practical knowledge gained or available in our projects is not lost. There is an internal knowledge database for this purpose. It includes, for example, water topics such as groundwater and sand storage dams, well drilling, drinking water analyses, dry toilets or how water can be extracted from the atmosphere if no other sources are available.

This expert knowledge is always available to our regional groups in projects around the world and is therefore a great help in the planning and realisation of projects. In return, we gain insights to expand our technical knowledge and can pass on the experience we have gained to our groups.
