On 17.10.22 we started a new hospital support project in Nepal, Dhulikhel. We arrived in the capital Kathmandu after a long flight with transit in Doha. On site we were kindly welcomed by the driver of Dhulikhel Hospital and brought to our guesthouse. Our host Deepak cooked us directly a typical “Daal Bhaat” for lunch, where we could enjoy the great view of the Himalayas.
In the afternoon, we went to the Dhulikhel Hospital (DHOS) to meet the technicians personally and to have a guided tour through the DHOS.
The next day, we then started our work with a training session for all biomedical technicians, the mechanical engineer and the biomedical engineer, in which we explained the app and its new functions as well as the web interface, and they were able to try out the knowledge directly hands-on on an example device themselves.
In the afternoon, the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) was diligently inventoried.
The next few days will be full of work. We will get back to you afterwards.
See you soon!
